Who writes this, and what we will not do
An independent editorial guide to aesthetic treatment, market by market. Here is how it works and where the money comes from.
What this is
Plain guides to med spa and aesthetic treatment in specific local markets. We are not a clinic, we do not perform treatments, we do not sell products, and nothing here is medical advice. Everything on this site is written to be useful to someone deciding where to spend a meaningful amount of money on something medical.
Why these markets
We build in places where the search results are dominated by platform pages rather than by anyone who has written something useful — an Instagram profile, a booking widget, a review aggregator sitting where a guide should be. A page goes up when we have measured that people are actually looking for it. Where we have not measured, we say so on the page rather than estimating.
How practices are listed, and how we are paid
A practice we list pays us a fixed referral fee when a patient reaches them through one of these pages. It is a commission on referrals, not a rented advertising slot: no booking, no fee. It is never a percentage of what you are charged for your treatment, and it never changes what you pay.
Every page carrying a listing says so. We cap the number of listings per page so the guides stay useful rather than turning into a directory.
What that fee does not buy
- A better position for paying more.
- Ratings or reviews we did not collect ourselves — we publish none that we did not.
- Removal of accurate information.
- Editorial control over what a treatment guide says.
What we will not publish
- Invented clinic listings, ratings or review counts. Empty slots stay visibly empty.
- Any figure we did not measure ourselves.
- Before-and-after imagery that is not a real practice's own patient work.
- Claims about outcomes that the evidence does not support, however well they sell.
Medical disclaimer
These guides are general and editorial. They describe how treatments work, how they are priced, and what to ask. They cannot account for your medical history, and they are not a substitute for a consultation with a licensed clinician who has examined you.
Corrections
If something here is wrong — a fact, a price structure, a description of a treatment — tell us and we will fix it and note that we did.
